Pearls from the Bible 45

The Lord God is the eternal being, whereas we are mere mortals. He sees the past, present, and the future. In Him lies all time—past, present, and future. In Ezekiel, the Lord predicted a famine in the land of Israel. Instead of repenting and seeking His grace, people began to repeat a proverb. Ezekiel chapter 12, verse 22 says, 'Time goes by and the predictions come to nothing.' The Lord said to them in verse 23, 'Time has come, and the predictions are coming true.' In verse 25, He says, 'I would do what I have warned you I would do.' We are living in the end times. The Bible contains many predictions about the time we're in. Are we, like the Israelites, saying Proverbs such as 'Time goes by and predictions come to nothing'? We're in a position where we can never utter such a proverb, witnessing predictions coming alive before our eyes. May we learn from the Bible that this is the hour to pray for our nation. Let us stand in the gap for ourselves and our people, the beloved Indians. Let us fast and pray for our nations, seeking the mercy of the Lord. May we never show carelessness about the times we're living in.

Dear God, fill us with Your spirit to pray and stand in the gap for our nation. May we see Your mercy upon us. Protect us under Your mighty wings, dear Lord. May we live lives filled with prayer, fearing the Lord, shunning evil, and doing good as a nation. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
