Good work.

At one point of our life's time we dedicated our time to learn some subject to become an expert at it. Some of us have truly enjoyed the process of learning. But in Isaiah 1 God talks about something we learn to do. It can be found in verse 17 " Learn to do good". Is learning easy?. An easy 'yes' would be the answer of many. But recently I went to learn a new language, a foreign language and found it difficult as I started from the basics of the foreign language. Learning is hard when you are trying to work on its foundation.

Living in a godly way, thinking in a godly way, overcoming sin with God's word and doing the right things regularly might be bit difficult and will not come by nature to us. Our Bible is not about doing the right thing we want to do. But right thing which we don't want to do but have to do.(Forgiving and praying for those who hurt us). May God help us to train ourselves to work on such areas where we need help. May God help us to identify the weakness and help us to progress on the same as well.

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10.

Is there anyone who could teach us to live a life of doing good ? Yes the answer is in Acts 10:28 God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. When we carry God's presence we will be carrying His goodness the perfect goodness within us. May God anoint us with the Holy spirit and power, may he help us keep on doing good works. Most of all May His presence be with us. We should give a note to self that we are accountable to learn to do good with the one life we have got.

My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done” (Revelation 22:12).

Dear God,

Thank you for the life you have given us. Help us to fill it with records of Good deeds as our loving Saviour Jesus did. May you anoint us and may your presence be with us to train us in doing good.

In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
